Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating a Ubox account or using the Ubox service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service description

Ubox provides a unified email inbox with AI-assisted triage and reply drafting. Ubox connects to your existing email accounts via the Gmail API (OAuth 2.0) or IMAP/SMTP. Ubox does not provide email hosting.

3. Account registration

You must provide a valid email address and maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly based on email processing volume via Stripe. New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, a paid plan is required to continue using AI features. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

After cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Ubox to:

  • Send unsolicited commercial email (spam)
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Violate the policies of your email provider (including Google's Gmail API Terms of Service)
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data

6. AI disclaimer

AI-drafted emails are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving every email before it is sent. Ubox does not send any email without your explicit approval — this is enforced at the system level. Ubox accepts no liability for the content of emails you approve and send.

7. Gmail API compliance

Ubox's use of Gmail data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy. Gmail data is used solely to provide the Ubox service and is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to train AI models.

8. Data and privacy

Your use of Ubox is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will not be liable for any loss arising from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ubox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or loss of business.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Lithuanian courts.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via the service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
