We built Ubox because email was running our day

Running a business means living across multiple email accounts — support, billing, partnerships, personal. For a long time, that meant hopping between inboxes, triaging manually, losing threads, and spending the first hour of every morning just processing messages before doing any real work.

We tried Spark. Clean UI, decent AI features. But the moment you connect a mailbox, your email lives on Spark's servers. That felt wrong. Email carries sensitive business correspondence, client details, financial information. It shouldn't live somewhere you don't control.

We tried Superhuman. Fast, polished, €30/month per seat. Not for a small team managing five mailboxes.

So we built Ubox. An AI inbox where your email stays on your server, the AI assists rather than acts, and the price doesn't require a CFO sign-off.

AI should be your assistant, not your autopilot

We believe AI in email should do the heavy lifting — reading, sorting, drafting — while you stay in control of what actually leaves your outbox. Ubox will never send an email without you approving it. That's not a setting. It's the design.

Three principles

• Your data stays yours. Emails live in your mailbox — Gmail, IMAP, or self-hosted. Ubox reads to triage and draft; it never stores your messages long-term.
• You approve every send. The AI drafts. You decide. Nothing goes out without your explicit tap. Enforced at the system level, not the UI level.
• Simple, honest pricing. Volume-based — you pay for AI processing. Unlimited mailboxes on every plan. No per-seat nonsense.

Where we're based

Ubox is built and operated in Lithuania, EU. We are GDPR-native — not GDPR-compliant as an afterthought. Your data is processed within the European Union.
